Contact Debbie Brown at (478) 477-1208 ext. 117 or e-mail: debbie@pilothq.org to find out if your address is correct in the membership database.

Let her know which issues you did not receive, and we will be happy to send you the last issue or two you missed (as availability permits), and we'll make every effort to ensure that you receive all future publications.

Our club sent a photo that was published in The Pilot Log. Can we get our photo back?

Top

As a general rule, photos are not returned to clubs because of the abundance of material sent to The Pilot Log each month. If your club must have the photo for a scrapbook or exhibit, please send a duplicate for publication in The Log.

If you sent an original photo and must have it returned, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to

The Pilot Log
P.O. Box 4844
Macon, Georgia 31208-4844.

Be sure to include a description of the photo and indicate in which issue of The Pilot Log it was published. We will do our best to locate it and return it to you, but please keep in mind that it won't always be possible to return any particular photo. Again, we urge you to send a duplicate, never the only original print.

Our club is celebrating an anniversary next month. Is this something something that can be published in The Pilot Log?

Top

The policy states that "Due to space limitations, news and photos of activities common to all Pilot Clubs, such as installations, Founder's Day activities, district fall councils, regional workshops, and district conventions will not be published."

However, if your club celebrates its anniversary in conjunction with an awards luncheon, service project, or other special event, it will be considered for publication.

Our club would like to submit an article to The Pilot Log. In what section can we expect it to be published?

Top

There are several areas reserved for news about club activities. If your club sends a brief statement about a single project with no photo, it is usually published in ClubGrams.

However, if you include details about the project and include a professional quality photograph, it will be considered for the Club News section. The same guidelines apply to Anchor Clubs; however, news about Anchor projects is published in the Anchor News section.

News of an individual member receiving an award or honor from the community, employer or organization should be addressed to the In the News section. Clubs receiving grants from the Foundation should send news about the project funded through the grant for the Foundation News section.

How do you select projects for publication in The Pilot Log?

Top

WWe are always looking for news of uniquely successful projects (service or fundraising) that further the Pilot mission, and creative ideas that other clubs can use. We appreciate your digital photos too, 300 dpi at least, please.

The best way to get your club's projects in The Pilot Log is to send in your news items. We try to feature different clubs in each issue to give equal billing to all clubs submitting articles. We publish as many as we can in each issue, and we often keep the ones that don't get in for the next issue (that's why it may take up to six months for an item to appear).

If your club has a success story to share, you can send it directly to
