Anchor Resources
The
following books, manuals, videos, and cassettes are part of the resource
library at PI Headquarters. They may be borrowed by club and district
leaders.
These resources are not specifically designed for Pilot and Anchor Clubs.
Leaders may select sections that are appropriate for their club or district's
particular needs.
Allow time to preview and determine if resource material is appropriate
for your group and the block of time you have. Please return borrowed
items as soon as possible due to the limited number of resources available.
Return postage is the responsibility of the club or district.

- It's Closer Than You Think
- Produced by the National Safety Council, the video itself runs
only 10 1/2 minutes but following the booklet with discussion could
run 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours. Instructor's guide and overheads
are included. Plan to divide club or workshop attendees into groups,
with each group having a participator's survey booklet. Determine
the number of groups you will have when checking out this video
in order to receive the number of booklets you will need.
- The Ultimate Driving Challenge
- Made by General Motors and hosted by Craig Nelson and Paula
Zahn. This is an interactive program that puts your driving safety
skills to the test.(video - 48 minutes)
- Acting On Your Values
- Comedian/teen counselor Michael Pritchard leads a group of
students in a brainstorming session about challenges that affect
their lives.(30 minutes)
- Working It Out at Madison II series
- A contemporary video series that offers young people an understanding
of problems and gives teens the direction they need to make positive
choices.
